Also known as Denali, Mount McKinley (seen in the black and white image) in Alaska, is the mountain in the United States of America (USA) with the highest altitude, with a summit elevation of 20,320 feet above see level. Actually, this marvelous world treasure is protected by being the centerpiece of the Denali National Park in Alaska, one the many federally protected National Parks throughout the USA. Denali, means "The High One" in the native language spoken by the indigenous peoples of Alaska. The photo was actually taken from an air plain. The peak of the mount covered in snow, that gives the impression of soft silk, is seen as if breaking through a thick dense layer of clouds, which actually surrounds and hides great lengths of the higher sites of McKinley.

This image presents a moody feeling to the viewer. I like the mountain peaking our of the clouds.

The choice of black and white really makes the details of this mountain stand out Sandra. Wonderful capture! v
