Taken at one of the beautiful beach fronts at Isla Verde (or "Green Island"), a District of Carolina, Puerto Rico, just outside of San Juan. This beach is at the northeastern part of the Island and thus, it is bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. Puerto Rico is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean at its northern side, including northwest and northeast, while the south side of the Island contacts the Caribbean Sea. The beaches at the north side, including those in Isla Verde, which are formed by the Atlantic Ocean have stronger waves and winds, compared to the beaches at the south, which display the beautiful and mysterious flatness of Caribbean beaches. The photo shows a wave system in retreat leaving beautiful patterns on the still water-covered sand. The ocean here is very attractive with its different hues of blue, hues that vary with the depths of the ocean, and which reflect blue sky .
