Do you remember? Certainly this image brings back so many pleasant memories from our childhood, preadolescence and even adult life. How fun it was to swing and play with our friends or even in times or solitude. Times when we dreamt dreams of the future, of our desires, hopes and so much more. Times filled with happiness, that can only come with the naiveness and freedom of childhood. With every swing, going higher and higher in the air we felt powerful, even closer to that which we wanted to attain and touch with our very hands. A static and long used tire swing hanging in a patio. Oh! and in the image there is another special treat from the past. A hammock can be seen toward the the far middle to right part of a photo. The hammock is hanged between two Ucar (Bucida buceras) trees, native to Puerto Rico. Times also for swinging yet in a different way, in rest, in relaxation, adults and parents enjoying the sight of their offspring having fun and discovering the joys in life.

I really like this, I want to thank you for starting the Memories and Nostalgia group. Coming from a small town in the Midwest I appreciate this group very much!

Your shots, especially your black and whites, convey such introspective emotion and really bring forth a feeling of nostalgia that lingers in the memory long after viewing your image. Well done, Sandra. Voted and your on my watch list! Thanks for such feelings

This picture really tugged at my heart strings as my Dad, who died in 1974, made just such a swing for me when I was small. The simplicity of this image makes it especially nostalgic. Very nice work! v/f
