A portrait of the Queen of Sheba viewed through the eyes of the artist. This media image was created by fusing fine/digital art photography with a wire sculpture I created. I have created this new fusion of art photography and wire sculpture and named it "Wire Sculpture Based Fine/Digital Art Photography. The image was then further manipulate by using digital painting on canvas, which created the form of the face, neck, and upper chest; all the facial, neck and chest details; the earrings, and the background. This image is dedicated to artist Ante Barisic, founder of the Autodidactic Artists Association International group in Fine Art America, who inspired me to dive into digital art painting with this my first creation in the area.

The Queen of Sheba or "Reina de Saba" was a monarch of the ancient kingdom of Sheba. This historical figure is spoken about in Yemeni and Ethiopian history, as well as in he Bible, the Qur'an, Yoruba customary tradition, and by the famous Jewish historian, Josephus. She is widely assumed to have been a queen regnant, that is, a female monarch reigning in her own right. The location of her kingdom is thought to have been in Auxum, Ethiopia and Saba, Yemen or both. According to Ethiopian tradition and history, the Queen was a seeker of truth and wisdom. As she heard about the wisdom of King Solomon of Israel, she travels to Jerusalem to meet him and test his knowledge with questions and riddles. King Solomon had also heard of Sheba and her great kingdom. During her visit the Queen of Sheba tests Solomon's wisdom by asking him many questions and giving him riddles to solve, which he answers to her satisfaction (1rst Kings 10:1-13). Ethiopian tradition goes on to say that he preached to her concerning his God, Jehovah, and she became a believer. Upon returning to her country, she helped establish Judaism in Ethiopia. In the New Testament, the is referred to as the Queen of the South in Mathew 12:42.
